"I recently purchased your Arcus S7 French double bass bow. It is by far
the best bow I've ever tried in my career, plus the advantages of the
weight, power, material, and much more."
Tomoya Aomori, Professor of double
bass at the Queens College (New York) and double bass assistant at
the Juilliard Pre-College Division.

"Since November 2004 I am the proud owner of an Arcus Sinfonia bass-bow.
Since then this is the only bow I use. My wooden
bows are retired, including my good old "Albert Nürnberger", which had
been my favorit bow for many years.
Before I made my decision I tried two Sinfonias and two Concerto bows
together with my wooden bows. In my extensive tests (including blind
tests) with several colleagues and many different instruments we have
come to most interesting results: It was especially revealing to
experience the importance of the combination of player, instrument and
bow, not to mention the different ideas of a good sound of the
musicians involved.
The Sinfonia which I kept was the bow that allowed me to achieve an
optimum in the play and sound. The tone is louder, clearer, and free of
the usual noise. My impression is that the sound has a much better
focus, which is much more
audible in the ensemble and which helps to locate my own tone in the
orchestra a lot.

In my opinion the off-string bowings are exceptional (for example in
the fast transition between two different bowings). The bow has less of
a "self-life", so it does only what I want. Especially on the low
strings the response in off-string bowings is precise, clear and fast.
This offers me a lot more possibilities for my own interpretations.
All combined I can say, and it is a pleasure for me to do so: for me
this is the best bow that I ever played, I am entirely satisfied."

"On my
Concerto bass bow I especially appreciate the full sound and the
instant response at the frog and the tip. It is also the large
dynamical possibilities of this bow that have convinced me."
