The feel of the bows in the Concerto line differs quite a bit while offering nearly identical resiliency and balance. The resonance quality though differs significantly from stick to stick, which is why we classify them accordingly. For the classification process we conduct several tests, in which we determine the resonance characteristics of each stick. Our devotion to perfection and many years of experience make it possible to advance the judgement of the musicians regarding every single bow with precision. The following diagram shows the distribution of the various sticks in the different categories. A direct comparison with traditional bows regarding the beauty and power of sound will show these results:
The sticks for the Allegro and Veloce bows differ from the Concerto series by being made in a slightly different process, using different materials. This results in a more even resonance quality, so we don't have to classify them. The resonance quality of the Allegro is quite similar to the Sinfonia, while the Veloce nearly matches the Sonata. Because of their easy playing characteristics we recommend the Veloce especially to advancing students and amateurs. The Allegro asks for a somewhat experienced technique and makes a great tool for good amateurs and all ensemble work. The Concerto line is preferred by very good players and is the most successful bows with professionals. Our recommendations. |
